Brazil’s tourism sector is expected to create 76,500 temporary jobs between October 2024 and January 2025, representing the highest number since 2015, according to data released by the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC), as reported by TV Cultura, a partner of TV BRICS.
Most of the vacancies will be in the catering sector with 54,200 positions, followed by transport (10,600) and accommodation (8,400).Â
With official employment growing by 7.9 per cent compared to the pre-pandemic period, tourism will also contribute to a turnover of R$157 billion (US$2,7 billion) between November 2024 and February 2025.Â
