TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – AirAsia has opened three new domestic routes in Indonesia; Balikpapan-Bali, Medan-Bali and Medan-Bandung. Flights between the cities will commence July 2022.
AirAsia Indonesia president director Veranita Yosephine said that the four cities are places with beautiful sceneries and rich in many natural resources that attract foreign tourists.
“We are very excited to open direct routes for Medan-Bali, Balikpapan-Bali, and Medan-Bandung,” Veranita said in a statement, Monday, June 13.
The launch of these three routes is a significant moment for AirAsia, as they are expected to encourage visits to Bali, North Sumatra, East Kalimantan and West Java through the connectivity it offers.
“We also hope that these flights will connect favorite cities and make it easier for tourists to explore areas that have not been fully explored. That way, our economy will slowly rise and grow.”
