SEPANG, MALAYSIA – AirAsia X announced the resumption of its services between Kuala Lumpur and Changsha, further solidifying the airline’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Chinese market, building on its recent inaugural flight to Xi’an last week.
Starting 5 July 2024, travelers can once again fly directly to Changsha, the capital and largest city of Hunan Province, with four weekly flights initially. As one of China’s first national and historically cultural cities including the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wu Ling Yuan (Zhangjiajie) where the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar was filmed, the airline expects these resumption of services will be popular and will look to expand based on forecast future demand. Changsha has also earned numerous accolades, including the title of “China Top Tourist City” and has been designated both the “World Capital of Media Arts” and the “Culture City of East Asia”.
