British Airways has announced a new partnership with Aviation American Gin to celebrate the carrier’s new route to Portland. Service to London Heathrow will operate five times a week from June 3rd.
Co-owned by Ryan Reynolds, the gin will be served on transatlantic flights and offered from the in-flight menu and onboard Speedbird café for short-haul customers. Gareth Williams, International Brand Director at Aviation American Gin, said of the announcement:
We hope our customers join us in celebrating, with a refreshing gin and tonic. We’re so excited to get on board with the UK flag carrier British Airways and take Aviation American Gin to new heights – the sky!
Through this partnership, we’re keen to enhance each traveller’s experience with a deliciously refreshing Aviation Gin cocktail for flyers to enjoy on journeys near and far, offering an American twist on this quintessentially British drink!”

The flights will be operated five times a week on British Airways’ Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which seats 214 passengers in a three-class configuration.
Portland is a destination bursting with possibilities.
Portland is the largest city in Oregon and is widely acclaimed for its food and live music scenes. The flights will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from Portland (PDX) to London Heathrow (LHR).
In addition to Portland’s draw as a destination, this route will open up a range of connections for customers through Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.
Recent oneworld addition Alaska is the largest operator in Portland and had worked closely with British Airways for many years before joining the alliance in 2020. Likewise, American Airlines serves the West coast city from five of its hubs.
