Debra Hunter Johnson, president and principal consultant of Reciprocity Consulting Group, has been named to the board of directors of Kanarys, the Dallas-based diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) technology company.
Johnson is a seasoned leader with 30 years of expertise in human capital management, legal governance, and corporate culture, Kanarys said.
She specializes in driving sustainable growth and innovation across diverse industries, from startups to large multinational corporations.
Johnson’s leadership extends to both corporate and nonprofit boards, including her roles as chair of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center President’s Advisory Board and as a member of the Dallas Economic Development Corporation board and the Texas Women’s Foundation board.
As president and principal consultant of Reciprocity Consulting Group since 2007, Johnson provides actionable strategies to enhance leadership, productivity, and teamwork in various sectors such as energy, healthcare, technology, and retail.
Johnson’s recent focus includes guiding organizations through pandemic-related workforce changes and talent-sourcing strategies in competitive markets.
Her corporate experience includes leadership roles at Chrysler Motors Corporation and American Airlines, where she served as the vice president of Global Human Resources Services. She is a sought-after speaker on topics of culture, leadership, and governance and is actively involved in community service initiatives focusing on economic empowerment and healthcare access.
