Briscoe had issues flying out of Charlotte to Las Vegas
Today, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag in Las Vegas, NV. It’s a playoff race at the 1.5-mile of Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Some teams have planes of their own and some drivers do as well. For a race on Sunday, teams will leave on Friday or Saturday.
However, Chase Briscoe is on baby watch. He elected to wait and fly out of Charlotte, NC the morning of the race in Las Vegas, NV.
As he sat boarded on the place this morning, technical issues surfaced on the plane. The plane he boarded struck a bird and caused electrical issues.
Initially, the flight takeoff was delayed. An hour later, the whole flight was canceled.
Briscoe began scrambling for a plane. He reached out via twitter, looking for anyone flying a private plane out of Charlotte.
He also bought a second ticket, in case he needed it. However, American Airlines was able to place him on a ‘backup plane’ and get him to Las Vegas. Problems averted.
