Delta Airlines began daily nonstop service from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to New York’s JFK Airport on Thursday, with departures at 7:10 a.m. and return flights leaving NYC at 6 p.m. and arriving in Milwaukee at 7:40.
Delta already offers nonstop service from MKE to New York’s recently renovated LaGuardia Airport.
Earlier this spring, JetBlue also added nonstops to JFK – a service I tested out myself in April.
“We’re delighted to welcome additional service to New York, and we commend Delta for offering more ways to get travelers to the Big Apple this summer and beyond,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik on Thursday.
“There’s been an increased demand for travel to this exciting city, and we’re glad that Delta is responding by giving travelers more versatility and options by offering service to both JFK and LaGuardia.”
The route operates seven days a week on CRJ-700 planes that have nine First Class, 16 Delta Comfort and 44 Main Cabin seats.
While LaGuardia is great for connecting to other domestic destinations, JFK also offers dozens of flights to international locations.
Make time on your trip to check out the TWA Hotel lobby in Eero Saarinen’s stunning 1960s TWA Terminal at JFK. You won’t regret it.
