If you’re planning on embarking on an exciting vacation or getaway any time soon, you can now book your flight now and pay later if you fly Delta Vacations thanks to their partnership with Affirm.
Affirm— the pay at your own pace company that gained popularity amongst millennials looking to enjoy the leisure of paying for goods and services over time— partnered with Delta to ensure flyers have that same luxury when booking flights. Whether you and your partner are preparing for a baecation in the fall or you’re flying out for a destination wedding in the Islands, this partnership gives you the space and time you need to budget for your trip and pay for your flights on a payment plan.
Paying for your next Delta flight through Affirm is simple. While on the airline’s website, paying for your flight, select the Affirm payment option and provide five pieces of personal information to receive a credit decision in minutes. To be approved for the payment option, you must provide your name, date of birth, phone number, email address, and the last four digits of your social security number.
Your Affirm approval is based on your credit. So if you are approved for the buy now, pay later option, your rate will be 0 percent APR to 10 to 30 percent based on your credit. With your approval, you can spread out the cost of your trip over 6, 12, or 18 months, giving you time to plan out and save for your excursion.
For example, let’s say the total cost of your Delta flight is $2,000 that your Affirm approval allows you to spread out over 12 months. If your APR rate is 10 percent, then you’d only pay $111.88 per month instead of the entire amount upfront.
Another nice thing about the Delta x Affirm partnership is that they tell you how much you’ll pay in interest from the beginning instead of a hard to calculate percentage rate. There are also no hidden or late fees, so you’ll never pay more than what…
