Since October, Delta Air Lines has been busy working on its summer 2022 transatlantic operations. Looking at the airline’s operations to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, it will fly up to 77 departures per day from the United States. In total, the airline plans to offer a peak of over 500 weekly departures from the US bound for points across the Atlantic.
New York-JFK comes out on top
New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be the airline’s largest gateway to Europe, according to data from Cirium. The airline will offer up to a whopping 29 daily departures from JFK across the Atlantic. This includes flights to the following destinations (all destinations served with once-daily flights unless otherwise noted):
- Accra (ACC) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Amsterdam (AMS) with two daily flights using an Airbus A330-300 and A330-200
- Athens (ATH) with 11 flights per week using an Airbus A330-300
- Barcelona (BCN) with an Airbus A330-300
- Brussels (BRU) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Copenhagen (CPH) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Dakar (DSS) with four weekly flights using a Boeing 767-300ER
- Dublin (DUB) with an Airbus A330-300
- Edinburgh (EDI) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Frankfurt (FRA) with an Airbus A330-200
- Lagos (LOS) with three weekly Boeing 767-300ER operations
- Lisbon (LIS) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- London (LHR) with two daily Boeing 767-400ERs
- Madrid (MAD) with a Boeing 767-400ER
- Milan (MXP) with 12 weekly flights using a Boeing 767-300ER and Airbus A330-300
- Nice (NCE) with a Boeing 767-400ER
- Paris (CDG) with two daily flights using an Airbus A330-300 and A330-900neo
- Prague (PRG) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Reykjavík (KEF) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Rome (FCO) with two daily Airbus A330-300s
- Stockholm (ARN) with a Boeing 767-300ER
- Tel Aviv (TLV) with an Airbus A330-900neo
