Emirates resumes Dhaka-Dubai flights
Dubai-based Emirates Airline has started operating Dhaka-Dubai flights in full swing, according to the carrier’s area manager.
Muhammad AL Hamadi said this during a press conference on Thursday on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Emirates’ flight operations in Bangladesh.
“The airline of the gulf country also set plans to increase flights on Dhaka-Dubai route in the future,” Hamadi said.
He mentioned that Emirates had operated its first flight from Dubai to Dhaka in 1986. They had two flights at that time.
Currently, the airlines are operating 21 flights per week.

The official said that the number of passengers from Bangladesh had been increasing day by day. So they were planning to increase the number of flights from Dhaka, also and had plans to introduce flights from Chittagong and Sylhet.
According to sources, the airline has so far carried more than 10.4 million passengers to and from Dhaka, operating over 19,300 roundtrip flights.
On the other hand, Emirates SkyCargo — the airline’s freight division — has carried close to 170,000 tons of cargo to and from Dhaka, including the main export commodities of garments, leather, and many perishable goods.
