The newly constructed Ayodhya airport is all set for inauguration on 30 Dec. The opening ceremony will be marked in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will be accompanied by other top officials and party members as well.
The leading budget carrier IndiGo will operate the inaugural flight on the same day, departing from the Delhi airport and will reach Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport on the same day. The regular flight service by the airline will kickstart from January 6.
Air India Express Innaugral Flight
Apart from the IndiGo, Air India Express also became part of the event, and will be operating its first flight on Wednesday. It will begin its regular flight operations on Jan 16
As per the official details, the largest carrier stated that the inaugural flight IX 2789 will leave from Delhi airport at 11:00 hours. All the passengers on board will arrive at the scheduled destination at 12.20 Hrs. While the return flight will depart from Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport at 12.50 hrs. and will reach Delhi at 14.10 hrs.

Reacting about the inaugural flight, Air India Express’ Managing Director said ” The carrier is excited to commence operations from Ayodhya right after the airport opens. This underlines our commitment to enhancing connectivity from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the country.
Ayodhya to Connect with International Destinations
Meanwhile, to promote the city and list it as a top destination, Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia asked the leading airlines to start connecting Ayodhya with international destinations as well.
