IndiGo, India’s largest carrier by market share, carried 68.47 lakh air passengers during January 2023, according to data by aviation regulator DGCA. Air India and Vistara claimed second and third spots with market shares of 9.2% and 8.8% respectively, compared to IndiGo’s 54.6% share. Scheduled domestic airlines received 418 passenger-related complaints in January with roughly 0.33 complaints for every 10,000 travelers, as passenger traffic continued to show growth. During the same month last year, domestic airlines carried 64.08 lakh passengers, a figure that has almost doubled to 125.42 lakh, as per the latest data.
