The new route will promote travel, tourism, and trade in the region, thereby contributing to economic growth and providing tourists with direct access to the temple town.
“With the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya scheduled for January 2024, the city is poised for a significant surge in travel activity. These new flights will provide pilgrims direct access to Ayodhya, from Delhi and Ahmedabad, and further across the unparalleled 6E network across India and overseas,” the airline said in a statement.
Timing of flights to and from Ayodhya International Airport:-
Air India Express’s flight from Delhi-Ayodhya: The inaugural flight IX 2789 is scheduled to depart from Delhi at 11 hrs on December 30, 2023, and will land in Ayodhya at 12.20 hrs. From Ayodhya, IX 1769 is scheduled to depart for Delhi at 12.50 hrs and arrive in the national capital at 14:10 hrs.
