The PCR Medical Laboratory affiliated to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport, which was previously temporarily closed, has been reopened to passengers.
A group of passengers at the BIA from Doha, Qatar on a Qatar Airways flight at 02.15 this morning arrived at the laboratory for PCR tests today (27).
Sumudu Sarasiraja, the Manager of the Medical Laboratory, said that PCR tests can be done on passengers arriving in Sri Lanka with a single dose and those departing from Sri Lanka.
There is a charge of US $ 40 for each PCR test and arrangements have been made to provide the results to the passengers within 3 hours. They will also provide passengers facilities to those who are waiting until their test results.
