With the current demand for A&P Mechanics, PIA students are getting opportunities unheard of in recent years. 30 Aviation Maintenance Technician students at the Pittsburgh campus were interviewed by recruiters from United Airlines on campus on Friday, March 4. Students graduating within 90 days were interviewed and completed a skills assessment to be considered for entry-level openings with the mainline airline. United’s interest is a sign of good things to come for PIA students and graduates!
“United Airlines and the industry are recruiting the next generation of aircraft maintenance professionals. United has always been proud of our strong relationship with Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. PIA continues to produce highly qualified technicians through their strong curriculum of both classroom theory and hands on learning. PIA graduates give United the edge it needs to remain best in class, and ready for the-evolving technical advances in commercial aircraft”.
