United Airlines
will shortly become the world’s largest operator of the Boeing 787, with 76 of the type already in operation and a massive order book for 145 more. Only All Nippon Airways (ANA), the launch customer for the B787, currently operates more of the type, but its eventual fleet of 99 aircraft will ultimately be dwarfed by more than 220 at United.
