Vietjet, the low-cost Vietnamese airline, will launch twice weekly direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia, from 16 June. The service will operate every Monday and Friday, departing Ho Chi Minh City at 1005 and arriving in Brisbane at 2110. The return flight will depart at 2310 and arrive at 0450 the following day. As part of its promotion of the new route, Vietjet is offering free “eco tickets” – excluding fees and taxes – on flights between Vietnam and Australia until 22 March. The airline will also offer free transfer domestic flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City for passengers travelling between Vietnam and Australia.
