India’s premium full-service carrier, Vistara, will be launching direct flights between Mumbai and London’s Heathrow airport from 1 June. These five-weekly flights will operate in addition to Vistara’s existing daily flights between Delhi and Heathrow, and will compete against British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. Vistara will operate brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircrafts on the Mumbai route, offering a three-class configuration. The airline currently has a fleet of 59 aircraft, including Airbus A320neos, Airbus A321neos, Boeing 737-800s, and four long-haul Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Bookings for the flights are being opened on Vistara’s website, mobile app, and through travel agents.
