Vistara, the Indian airline famous for its premium service, faced backlash on social media after a passenger claimed the crew failed to control a group of drunk passengers who were harassing women and others on board. The passenger, who had travelled with Vistara on flight UK256, took to Twitter to express their disappointment after the crew allegedly ignored the situation and continued to serve alcohol to the unruly passengers. The airline responded by saying that its crew are trained to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers and do not condone such behaviour. This incident is just one of 139 reported cases of unruly behaviour on board Indian airlines in the last two years. The civil aviation safety regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has issued guidelines on how to handle disruptive passengers to ensure the safety of all on board.
