Unruly passenger behaviour has been a persistent problem in Indian airlines, with incidents continuing to occur despite efforts by airlines and the aviation safety regulator to curb the behaviour. The latest incident involved a Vistara flight where a passenger complained on Twitter about drunk passengers harassing others, including women, on the flight. The airline responded by stating that their crew is trained to ensure safety and well-being, but the incident illustrates the continued challenge of managing unruly behaviour on flights. In the past two years, 139 incidents of unruly behaviour have been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation by various airlines, prompting the regulator to issue guidelines on handling disruptive passengers.
