Tata-owned airline, Vistara, has announced that it has added Air India as a bilateral interline partner, allowing passengers to travel seamlessly using a single ticket on both airlines. The Tata Group confirmed in November 2022 that it planned to consolidate its airlines, Vistara and Air India, and employee integration and other processes for the mergers have already begun. The CCI’s nod is one of many things that must be completed for the eventual merger, which is estimated to be completed by March 2024. After the consolidation, Singapore Airlines will hold 25.1% shareholding in Air India, and SIA shall invest Rs 2,059 crore in the airline.
