Three Vistara flights bound for Delhi were diverted from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) to other airports on Saturday due to poor visibility. The flights were diverted to Jaipur and Ahmedabad. The low visibility at IGI Airport was attributed to poor air quality in Delhi. Several areas of the city were experiencing ‘very poor’ air quality, with smog covering multiple regions. At Terminal 3 of IGI Airport, the AQI was recorded at 375 at 10:00 AM.

Air Quality Concerns
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported ‘Very Poor’ air quality in Anand Vihar and Ashok Vihar. Anand Vihar’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 388, while Ashok Vihar’s AQI was 386 at 6:00 AM on Saturday. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced that while Grap-3 restrictions have been lifted, the government is focused on the strict enforcement of Grap-1 and Grap-2 measures to address air pollution concerns.
