Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Wizz Air Holdings and Abu Dhabi state holding company ADQ, has revealed its plans to expand its operations in the Persian Gulf. The low-cost airline, which began operations in January 2021, plans to double its fleet and increase recruitment as demand for low-cost travel in the region grows following a pandemic-related slowdown. The company has said that the expansion will create more job opportunities for UAE nationals in the aviation sector. Currently, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operates flights to destinations across Europe, such as Athens, Budapest, and Kiev, with plans to expand its network to destinations in the Middle East and Asia.
