Blackstone Real Estate, a private equity firm, has purchased the UK-based Village Hotels group from KSL Capital Partners. The explicit value of the deal remains undisclosed, though earlier reports suggest the group was listed for sale at £850 million. Village Hotels operates 33 mid-level hotels in secondary cities and suburban regions throughout the UK, providing 4,400 guest rooms. The hotels typically offer co-working spaces, meeting rooms, fitness clubs and restaurants. Under KSL’s ownership, the group expanded by more than 1,200 guest rooms. CEO of Village Hotels, Gary Davis, stated that the brand is distinct, offering lodging, food, meeting space, and health and wellness facilities, all within the same establishment.
