Icelandair and Emirates have announced a codeshare agreement which will open up “new and exciting travel corridors” between Reykjavik and Dubai.
Flights covered by the new codeshare will go on sale from 1 September subject to securing the necessary regulatory approvals.
The deal will allow Icelandair passengers in North America and Iceland to connect with Emirates’ eastbound flights to Dubai, while Emirates customers can connect westbound via Icelandair’s network to Reykjavik.
Bogi Nils Bogason, Icelandair’s president and CEO, said Emirates would become its seventh global airline codeshare partner.
