MADRID (AFP) – Amadeus, the world’s biggest travel reservations company, said yesterday it has returned to profit in the third quarter for the first time since the start of the pandemic thanks to a gradual increase in air traffic.
The Spanish company, which runs a reservations platform for airlines, travel agencies and internet booking sites, posted an adjusted quarterly profit for the July to September period of EUR23.8 million (USD27.5 million), compared to a loss EUR24 million in the previous quarter.
