A third official whose name came up in the investigation into the question paper leak of Biman’s recruitment exam was removed from his post recently.
Deputy Secretary Muhammad Nizam Uddin Ahmed was transferred from his post of general manager of the Administration and Human Resources Department of Biman to the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Public Administration Ministry said this in a notice signed by Deputy Secretary Mehedi Hasan on June 14.
The notice states that the order has been served in the public interest and will come into effect immediately.
Muhammad Nizam Uddin Ahmed was the prime accused in the question paper leak incident of the Biman recruitment exam.
On 21 October 2022, Biman Bangladesh was to hold a recruitment exam for 10 posts for electricians, mechanics, welders, painters, operators, and tailors. Around two hours before the exam, the recruitment process was suspended due to the question paper leak.
Earlier, Major Taiz Ibne Anowar, general manager of the ground service equipment department and deputy general manager of the security department, was removed on January 1.
Biman Managing Director and CEO Zahid Hossain was also removed in December, last year for his alleged involvement in a question paper leak of the recruitment test.
