Air India has announced a global distribution partnership with Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS) which will enable travel firms around the world to access the carrier’s fares and inventory through Sabre’s GDS. Air India hopes the partnership will support its ambitious growth plans and transition towards a more dynamic, merchandising-focused model. Sabre will also offer consultancy expertise to help the airline determine optimal routes for its existing and new fleet. The deal follows a series of recent announcements from Air India regarding plans to revive the carrier. Sabre’s Bengaluru capability centre will collaborate with the airline to support its innovation and transformation efforts.
