An Airbnb host has received a threat after a ‘family-of-five’ booking turned out to be a drunkard party with 500 teenagers, causing thousands of dollars in damages.
Queensland Airbnb host Benjamin Holt received a booking for what the thought was a family-of-five for his home in East Brisbane over the weekend.
However, the booking profile used to secure the property was fake and an open-invitation to the house party was sent via Snapchat.
About 500 teenagers responded to the invitation and piled into the house for a wild booze-filled party.
Police were eventually called to shutdown the out-of-control party, causing hundreds of teenagers to flee the scene, while others continued to cause havoc on the street.
Some teenagers even clashed with police as horrified neighbours watched on from the safety of their homes.
The unruly teenagers destroyed Mr Holt’s property and caused thousands of dollars in damages.
