NASHVILLE, Tenn. — As Halloween weekend approaches, Airbnb is taking steps to stop unauthorized and disruptive parties in Nashville. The company is using special technology to block certain one-night and two-night bookings for entire homes that could be risky for parties.
This system looks at things like last-minute bookings, short stays, and how far the guest lives from the rental. The goal is to prevent parties before they start.
Last year, Airbnb used similar measures, stopping over 31,000 party-related bookings in the U.S., including around 200 in Nashville and 800 across Tennessee. Overall, 37,000 bookings were blocked across the U.S. and Canada.
Airbnb is also requiring some guests to agree to their no-party rule and reminding them that breaking it could lead to being banned from the platform.
In addition to these measures, Airbnb has a 24/7 helpline for neighbors and hosts to report any concerns.
The company believes these steps will help reduce the risk of disruptive parties…
