ROOMDEX, a hotel technology company, has released initial results from pilots of its Attribute-Based Selling (ABS) solution. The pilots, conducted at five hotels in the US and Europe over a two-month period, showed a year-on-year increase in upselling revenue of 14%. The proprietary algorithm used in ROOMDEX ABS enabled the personalised sale of individual room features, which resulted in a better guest experience and higher revenue. Using ABS, guests can choose the room features they want and have a more personalised experience. Hotels using ABS have shown a positive increase in revenue, with all hotels experiencing an increase in YoY upselling revenue during the period.
