Hotel Communication Network (HCN) has unveiled Navigator 2.0, a hotel-room tablet that allows guests to communicate with hotel staff and personalise their stays. The device replaces the phone, TV remote and clock/radio and features real-time language translation, enabling guests to communicate in their native language. Additionally, the cloud-based tablet enables real-time updates from hotels and presents advertising and upsell opportunities for hotels. Navigator 2.0 is designed to appeal to guests already comfortable with mobile devices, and to replace outdated technology in hotel rooms. The tablet is also designed to help hotels reduce labour costs and increase revenue by turning room service into a profit centre.
