Agoda’s annual Customer Review Awards have returned for the 2023 edition. This year, the digital travel platform has recognized close to 24,000 properties in over 125 markets. These properties have demonstrated their commitment to exceptional service by achieving customer ratings of ‘8’ or above.
Asian properties have once again emerged as the winners, securing the top spot with nearly 18,000 awards. Following closely behind are Europe and North America in second and third place respectively.
Thailand has been crowned this year’s market champion with a total of 3,362 winning properties. Indonesia comes in second with 3,227 awards, followed by the United States with 1,865. Malaysia and Vietnam have shown significant improvement, jumping to the top five from their previous positions.
In terms of destinations, Bali takes the winning spot for consistently offering the best service, with 845 property awards. Last year’s champion, Bangkok, is now in second place. Jakarta, Chiang Mai, and Kuala Lumpur are the other top destinations.

The Customer Review Awards evaluate genuine customer reviews based on key criteria such as cleanliness, facilities, location, room comfort, quality, service, and value for money. Properties are also considered based on their pricing strategy, availability, and their utilization of Agoda’s Yield Control System (YCS).
