Ryanair’s June OTA Pirate Survey accuses eDreams of tricking customers with its “Prime” subscription, by consistently overcharging for flights and offering apparently dubious discounts. The survey revealed that eDreams charged 38% more for an EasyJet flight than purchasing directly from the airline. In another example, for a Wizz Air flight advertised at 60 euros, eDreams Prime members were offered a “discounted” price of 38 euros, when the same flight was available for 31.99 euros on Wizz Air’s website. Despite not selling Ryanair fares in June, eDreams is accused of still overcharging for the flights of other airlines. Ryanair maintains that this reflects the deceptive nature of eDreams and its “Prime” subscription scheme.
