Ajman Tourism has announced a partnership with travel search website Wego, in a bid to increase visitor numbers to the emirate. The agreement centres on a number of co-marketing initiatives, including display and social media advertising, to promote Ajman as a destination for tourists in the region. The partnership follows Ajman Tourism’s announcement last month that it will embark on a “massive renovation campaign” of its hotels and resorts in a bid to increase guest numbers by 100% by 2021, doubling its current capacity to 5,000 rooms. The emirate is targeting a broad range of visitors, including families, millennials, and those seeking luxury and wellness, among others. “This move is in line with our objective of growing tourism volumes to Ajman and attracting a diverse range of travellers to the emirate….we believe our renewed partnership with Wego will bring us closer to achieving these goals,” said Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of Ajman Tourism. The partnership with Wego is expected to significantly boost Ajman’s visibility among the website’s user base, which numbers over 50 million travellers.
