TUI Group is expanding its business in sub-Saharan Africa, emphasizing on sustainable growth and collaboration with the local communities. This expansion plan includes launching new hotels and improving customer experiences across various locations. The CEO of TUI Group, Sebastian Ebel, believes Africa has a tremendous potential in terms of culture, economic strength, and scenic beauty. Also, the young and dynamic society of Africa is seen as a huge advantage for the service industry. TUI Group already has a presence in western and northern Africa. Now, they aim to create another cluster on the east coast of Africa by the Indian Ocean. For this expansion, TUI Group is considering a holistic approach that includes environmental, societal, and economic aspects. The decision was announced following a visit to Zanzibar and Kenya and the successful launch of the first hotel under TUI’s new brand, The Mora, in Zanzibar.
