Cambodia will host the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Phnom Penh, which will be the first time that the country has hosted the event. Thousands of athletes from 11 nations, including more than 11,000 athletes, coaches and delegates, will participate in the biennial competition, which runs from 11-17 May 2022, with the aim of obtaining regional glory, while also considering their future participation in the Asian Games in China and the Paris Olympics in 2024. Sports featured will include athletics, swimming, badminton, and football, as well as Kun Bokator, an ancient Cambodian martial art.
