The Ministry of Environment in Cambodia has collaborated with tourism firm All Dreams Cambodia to address natural resource conservation and sustainable development during a press conference held on 22 March. The country is in a particularly vulnerable position regarding climate change, exacerbated by plastic pollution, with about 10 million plastic bags used daily in its capital city Phnom Penh alone. Such plastic cannot be easily recycled and causes landfill waste and pollution. All Dreams Cambodia has been working towards more sustainable tourism for several years, including the purchase of locally-made handicrafts and souvenirs to generate income for the local community. The company also encourages the use of public transport, e-bikes or walking where possible by staff.
