TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) reiterated on Wednesday (June 12) China’s plans to reopen tourism between the two sides, first mentioned on April 28.
TAO spokesperson Chen Binhua criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for refusing to lift the ban on tour groups traveling to China, claiming it deprives Taiwanese people of their legitimate rights and severely harms the interests of Taiwan’s tourism industry.
Chen warmly welcomed Taiwanese compatriots who visited China for tourism and cultural experiences, highlighting their eagerness to share their cultural heritage and development.
