Over 1,000 drones lit up the sky over Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour on Monday to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and showcase Chinese tradition to locals and tourists.
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), it began with an aerial display of glittering rice dumplings (糉子) filling the sky, which then quickly transformed into a dragon boat drummer cheering competitors in the upcoming dragon boat races.
Furthermore, the drone show featured a thrilling dragon boat racing across the sky, and a giant dragon flying on the oar of a dragon boat to send its blessings to the audience and remind them about the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races this weekend (15 and 16 June) on the Tsim Sha Tsui East promenade.
