Greece and China are looking into ways to further strengthen their tourism ties through joint initiatives.
Following a recent meeting in Athens, Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias and Chinese Ambassador to Athens Xiao Junzhen agreed on the development of a two-year joint action plan for the 2022-2024 period.
Scheduled to be signed on Monday, March 14, between the tourism ministries of both countries, the joint action plan will focus on further enhancing the cooperation of Greece and China on tourism-related fields such as cultural, wedding, medical and wellness tourism.
During the meeting, Kikilias said Greece needs to further promote its tourism offerings to the Chinese market through targeted actions.
On his part, Chinese Ambassador to Athens Xiao Junzhen expressed his confidence for the tourism development of both countries and stressed the importance of carrying out joint initiatives.
