The Hong Kong government has criticized Taiwan for issuing its second-highest travel warning for the city, describing it as a malicious attempt to tarnish the reputation of the national security law. Hong Kong’s administration argues that they are simply fulfilling their constitutional duty to secure national security, just like other jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. They believe Taiwan is ignoring their duty, spreading misleading information, and displaying double standards. This came after Taiwan released their travel warning earlier in the day.
