1 Introduction
In many developing countries, tourism plays an important role in socio-economic development (Dogru and Bulut, 2018). Since the reform and opening-up in China, the tourism economy has grown at a high speed. In 2019, China achieved a total tourism income of 6.63 trillion yuan, and its comprehensive contribution rate to the national economy has reached 11.05% (China Tourism Research Institute), ranking the fastest developing country in the world in domestic tourism. The improvement of tourism economic development has undoubtedly promoted the rapid accumulation of material wealth and the promotion of people’s livelihood and wellbeing in China in a short period of time.
