Agartala: If everything goes according to plan, the renovated Tripura Sundari Temple will reopen for devotees in the first week of Feb next year, said Tripura tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
The 500-year-old Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 shaktipeeths in the world, has been undergoing renovation for the past five years to boost tourism. Tripura govt has allocated 14.22 acres of land to construct replicas of the 51 Shaktipeeths around the Tripura Sundari Temple to attract international tourists at an affordable cost.
