The rise in COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh has forced the postponement of Pakistan’s U-19 tour of Bangladesh. The rapid surge of instances of the outbreak has also caused a nationwide lockdown. Pakistan’s junior cricket team was supposed to fly out to Dhaka on the 11th of April for a four-day fixture alongside five 50-over games.
After the Bangladesh government imposed a nationwide lockdown at the beginning of April, Pakistan’s departure got rescheduled to the 17th. Unfortunately, with the situation still grim in Bangladesh, the authorities had to extend the lockdown. It led to an indefinite postponement of Pakistan’s U-19 team’s visit as their matches were to start on the 23 of April.
