A tourist recently expressed surprise at being charged S$17.5 (US$13) for a meal at a hotpot stall in VivoCity, Singapore’s largest shopping mall, describing the price as “too expensive”.
The tourist, who goes by Indah, shared her experience in a Facebook post on Nov. 6. She noted that her order included “one potato, one tofu, four okras, two tofu skins, a small portion of chicken, and a serving of rice,” adding that she could not understand why it cost so much.
