Eight yachts are confirmed to compete in the 1 700 nautical-mile Cape to St Helena Yacht Race, starting on December 28 from Cape Town and finishing in Jamestown, St Helena. The race will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony at Plantation House, the official residence of St Helena’s Governor, on January 10.
The race begins with the traditional Blue Peter party at the Royal Cape Yacht Club (RCYC) on December 23, bringing together participants, family and supporters.
