Ker & Downey Botswana has opened Maxa – a new safari camp in the northeast of the Okavango Delta. The camp accommodates a maximum of 12 guests in five tents, including a family tent.
A prime location for wildlife viewing, beneath a canopy of ebony, marula and leadwood trees, Maxa overlooks the Maxa Lagoon. The area is known for its seasonal herds of zebra and elephant as well as year-round hippos and birdlife. Clear waterways fed by the Okavango panhandle enable mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions and other water-based activities.
