The Seychelles’ Victoria Clock Tower recently glowed pink in support of breast cancer patients, survivors and those who lost their battle with the disease.
The initiative was part of the “Pink Link” event hosted by the non-governmental organisation (NGO) Soroptimist International Club of Victoria during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Members of the club’s Seychelles chapter joined hands around the clock tower to show solidarity, unity and unwavering support for breast cancer sufferers.
According to the Annual Health Sector Performance Report for 2023, 152 deaths in Seychelles are cancer-related, accounting for 17% of all deaths in the country.
