The City of Cape Town is calling on all tourism enterprises to participate in the research study to determine the economic value of tourism in Cape Town.
The study, which is being conducted by Grant Thornton, aims to utilise turnover and employment data from tourism enterprises to calculate what the value of tourism is in the city.
“The information gathered from tourism enterprises will be used to demonstrate the importance of tourism to decision and policy makers in the city. The value of tourism can then be used to motivate for bigger tourism marketing budgets as well as for the prioritisation of tourism with regard to infrastructure development, resulting in more tourists for tourism enterprises,” Grant Thornton said in a…
